The clients, the HOPE Foundation, chose the project by Ishigami and the Danish bureau Svendborg Architects because, in their opinion, it is both a building and a symbol of peace. The cloud-looking "House of Peace" will be built on the water in the busy harbor of Norhavn. Most of the interior space will be occupied by the main hall: instead of the floor, there will be a surface of water, along which visitors can swim in silence on round boats.
Junya Ishigami compares these boats with leaves or water lilies, and the image of a cloud for a building seems to him the most successful, because, on the one hand, the building will be clearly visible, and on the other hand, it will fit into the appearance of the harbor - both the current one and after any transformations: after all, clouds are in harmony with any landscape.

won the competition for the project of reconstruction of the Polytechnic Museum in Moscow.
