Ethnographic cluster "Atmanov Ugol"

"Gateway" to the suburbs of Sydney

© AWR In 2000, Columbia University professor Dixon Despomier created a vertical farming concept designed to save space and enable agriculture in metropolitan areas. The organizers of the competition propose to create a student center to explore the possibilities of such farming. Contestants are required to present the concept of a horizontal farm with a dormitory for students on the premises of the Milan Expo 2015. Public and commercial spaces should also be organized here.

Japan's New National Stadium
National Stadium of Japan. Revised version of the project © Zaha Hadid Architects The aim of the competition is to find out how the new National Stadium of Japan is seen not by eminent architects, but by novice specialists and students. The competition has nothing to do with the official competition organized by the government of the country (recall that the winner was the project of Zaha Hadid, which, however, had to be abandoned due to the high cost of implementation). Here, participants are invited to present fresh and bold ideas, not forgetting about the structural safety of the structure. As this is an idea competition, detailed calculations are optional.
