The complex is located in the developing area of Greater Shanghai Songjiang, which until the 1990s was an independent city with an ancient history; now the headquarters is the centerpiece of its new "civilized industrial zone." Along with the canals typical of the Shanghai region, the campus is equipped with ponds with local flora and fauna, as well as an artificial lake. Above its surface protrudes a console protrusion, where the office and apartments of the president of the company are located, including a meeting room with a glass floor through which the water surface is visible.
The building meanders along the site, then rising above the ground, until merging with it; The connection to the landscape is also enhanced by the green roof, which serves as a recreational area for employees. In general, the campus should satisfy all their needs, since it is located 40 km from the city center, and many employees permanently live on its territory in a hotel specially built for them. All elements of the complex are combined into a single structure, which is divided into the eastern and western parts by the road passing under it.
In the eastern part there are work premises (common space for all employees, from junior manager to director; only vice presidents have separate offices), a library, a dining room, the president's "chambers", an assembly hall, and an exhibition space. In the western part there is a swimming pool, gym, fitness center, club, hotel, etc. There are indoor and outdoor spaces for recreation and leisure throughout the campus. There is a promenade along the shore of the lake.
The interiors of the Giant Interactive Group headquarters are almost entirely monochrome; they are enlivened by white cones with black specks installed on ceilings and containing pipes, ventilation equipment, etc. The green elements of the project include a grass-planted roof, improved insulation of glazed façade sections, a relatively narrow building configuration and windows in the ceilings, which provide natural lighting.
