A new building appeared on the outskirts of the city, in the fields, where economic and industrial buildings are scattered. It faces the road with a facade made of transparent and mirrored glass panels, but the main attraction of the project - the “alley” permeating the building with a complex shell of red perforated anodized aluminum panels - is hinted at by the main entrance decorated with the same material.

The "alley" is inspired by a typical Normandy phenomenon: the roads are slightly sunken into the soil, to protect them from the strong sea winds, trees are planted, which, when they grow, form something like a green vault. The architects tried to imitate this natural form. The resulting space faces the rear façade, where there is much more red metal than from the street side. The "Alley" also serves as a space for meetings and concerts, key objects (reception desk, bar, cloakroom, etc.) go there, and from there you can get to all the premises of the cultural center. The center, which bears the name of the nearby La Hague Cape, combines a concert hall, a music school where ballet and drama are also taught, and meeting spaces for various urban social groups.

In addition to anodized aluminum (for exemplary collaboration in its innovative use, architects Marin + Trottin and Pyrrhus Conceptions received the Duo @ Work Award from the Paris branch of the National Union of French Architects UNSFA and the Architect @ Work commercial exhibition), the building uses exposed concrete surfaces and wood, which, among other things, a spacious second floor terrace is sheathed.
