KNAUF Perm Territory
In the Russian geography of Knauf, the Perm Territory occupies a special place. It was here 15 years ago that the KNAUF GIPS Kungur enterprise was built almost from scratch, and later the Perm representative office of KNAUF CIS was opened. To date, the total investment in the production complex has amounted to 78 million euros, and Perm products are supplied to 30 regions of the country and exported to Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
A separate division of "KNAUF GIPS" in Perm represents the interests of the company not only in the Perm region, but also in neighboring regions. His area of responsibility includes the Perm Territory, the Kirov Region, the Komi Republics, Bashkortostan and the Udmurt Republic. This is almost 900 thousand square kilometers of territory, in which more than 10 million people live.
In this region, as in others, Knauf supplies building materials and complete systems, provides consulting support, popularizes new technologies and conducts training. Among his clients are the largest developers who implement the most interesting and complex projects.
So recently the KORTROS group of companies put into operation the Astra multifunctional complex. The name of the complex is not accidental - it was built on the site of a former tobacco factory in the historic center of the city (the developer is the KORTROS group of companies) and includes an elite residential building and two renovated historic buildings.
According to Sergei Plaksin, technical director of the OSZ LLC branch in Perm (KORTROS Group of Companies), a lot of architectural and engineering solutions that were not standard for Perm were used at these facilities. This is the first site in the city to use
"warm-cold" facade system. It used innovative materials and advanced approaches offered by Knauf. In particular, in a number of premises, non-combustible KNAUF-Fireboard plates were used, plastering was carried out in a mechanized way with the supply of silos, which not only increased the speed and efficiency of work, but also reduced the traffic load on the historic city center, reducing the number of trips to deliver materials.
In total, the KNAUF company supplied 800 tons of various gypsum plasters to the builders of the Astra residential complex, KNAUF gypsum plaster (GWP) - 10,000 square meters, putties - 40 tons.
KNAUF Perm supplies a range of materials and technologies to all large construction projects in Perm, for example, for the construction of the business-class residential complex “Victoria” by the ComStrin-Perm company and the residential complex “Griboyedovsky” of the PIK Group.
In preparation for the SCO and BRICS summits, active construction began in the capital of Bashkortostan Ufa. The 5-star hotels Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn Ufa, the new building of the Bashkiria hotel, and the terminals of the Ufa international airport were finished using KNAUF technologies.

One of the main suppliers of the Perm representative office of Knauf is another important object of the company, located here in the Perm Territory - the plant "KNAUF GIPS Kungur". In 2016, Kungurians celebrated the 15th anniversary of the plant and the activities of Knauf in the Perm Territory, inviting numerous guests from all over the country to the celebrations.
For the KNAUF group, this enterprise is special, since, unlike many others, it was built practically from scratch, and not on the basis of existing production facilities. Now it is a huge plant that produces four types of products: gypsum binder, gypsum plasterboards, gypsum boards and metal profiles.
At the end of 2015, the KNAUF GIPS Kungur enterprise entered the top five Knauf production facilities in the world. The production lines in Kungur produce 40 million square meters. m of gypsum sheet, 1 million sq. m PZL, 15 million linear meters of profile per year, providing construction sites in the Urals with high-quality materials based on the advanced technologies of Knauf. In the near future "KNAUF GIPS Kungur" plans to launch the production of dry mixes of the Knauf line with a volume of 20 thousand tons per year.
The plant in Kungur is considered a high-quality production not only according to Russian, but also according to European standards, which is confirmed by the relevant certificates. However, the company itself acts as the strictest product quality controller - the products of the Kungurskiy plant are checked annually for compliance with Knauf standards.
The company also places no less high demands on the working conditions of its employees. From 2012 to May 2016, the total amount of funds allocated for their improvement amounted to 375 million rubles. Also, the company annually allocates 65 million rubles. for treatment and recreation of workers, summer camps for children, support for veterans, loans for housing construction or other needs.
KNAUF GIPS Kungur pays a lot of attention to ecology, trying to ensure maximum wastelessness of its activities. All production areas of the plant are equipped with dust cleaning units, the cleaning efficiency of which is about 99%, which means that it guarantees the minimum emissions that do not have a negative impact on the environment. As the territory of the quarries is being developed, the enterprise reclaims their lands - as of today, 5.23 hectares of lands of the “Yergachinsky” quarry have been reclaimed. The plant also transfers its waste to other organizations for recycling, recycling or disposal.
Social responsibility of the KNAUF group
One of the main principles of the Knauf company is active participation in the life of the regions where it operates. As a socially responsible enterprise, the plant provides social assistance to organizations in the city of Kungur and the Kungur region. Help is directed to those who need it, first of all - these are orphanages, medical institutions, rural settlements, Orthodox churches. The total amount of charitable support as of June 2016 is over 23 million rubles.
The central object of the KNAUF group's charitable support was the temple of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, located in the center of Kungur. In 2004, the temple was presented with a unique belfry, one of the largest in the Perm Diocese, in 2005-2006 five domes were recreated, in 2007-2008 a five-tiered iconostasis with 42 icons was created, in 2011 - an altar in the altar of an Orthodox church, in 2015 -2016 - the iconostasis of the right side-altar.
