The Vyksa 10,000 competition, the results of which were summed up at the beginning of the week, is timed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of OMK and the 260th anniversary of the Vyksa Metallurgical Plant. The task was to develop a sketch for painting one of the factory facades with an area of 10,000 m². This graffiti should be the largest in the world.
In total, the organizers received 260 applications from participants from 34 countries. The short list included 4 works, and the winner was Moscow street artist Misha Most. In mid-March, he will start implementing the project. The allocated budget is 1 million rubles. The presentation of the finished painting will take place within the framework of the Art-Ovrag festival on June 16-18, 2017.
Below are the works of the winner and the three finalists.
Misha Most, Russia
In creating the sketch, the artist proceeded from his project The Future of the Past, in which he reflects on the processes of evolution and progress of both society as a whole and an individual. If you look at the work from left to right, you can trace the development of the plot: from small to large, from research to creation, from idea to result. It turned out to be a kind of short clip, in which the author included real stories from the life of the Vyksa plant.
