New Music School in Ventspils - Latvia wants to become an important center for the entire Baltic region.
The building is located at Laimais Laukums, an important meeting point for the urban environment. The richness of greenery and water in the surrounding space creates an appropriate foreplay for the new building.
The music school with concert hall, designed by Haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050, Stuttgart, has a characteristic architecture thanks to the folded, broken roof plane. In addition to a 600-seat classical concert hall, the music school offers a small theater hall, a music library and an open-air stage.
The gold-painted BEMO standing seam panels and BEMO-BOND composite panels form flat surfaces and protect against the harsh weather conditions in the Baltic Sea. Merks LV, as one of the largest general contractors in Latvia, is responsible for the implementation of this unique project.
