Mytishchi Fair is a cluster of retail and warehouse areas just outside the Moscow Ring Road junction, where you can buy a car, food for a month, and everything for repairs. Fifty objects are occupied by 2,500 tenants, to whom one and a half million people come. Approximately the same number of pilgrims, monarchists and simply sympathizers visit the neighboring former village of Taininskoye in a year. This place has a rich history, according to the description of Nikolai Karamzin, here "Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich loved to amuse himself with falconry." The royal church of the Annunciation of the second half of the 17th century has survived, with a luxurious two-tiered staircase-loggia; from time to time, plans are discussed to restore the traveling palace and create a museum-reserve. In addition, in the valley of the Yauza River there is a small well-kept park dedicated to Nicholas II.

Ilya Samsonov's studio developed a development project and a landscaping concept for the fair, which would connect two such different territories - a wholesale and trade area and a Moscow region estate, and would establish a place identification - both in terms of orientation, and in a deeper sense, related to the "code" or genius loci.

The area of transformations is a strip between Yauza and the fair, where several objects will be located.

Closer to the fair, office buildings, a shop and a universal exhibition pavilion will be lined up. Between them there is a parking lot, as well as a market square, which will become the "gateway" connecting Mytishchi and the fair. The architecture of these structures refers to the Mytishchi aqueducts, which supplied clean water to Moscow during the time of Catherine II.

Closer to the river there will be a recreation area with several points of attraction: grill houses, a trampoline, an art object and an open pavilion on the cape, where Yauza meets Sukromka. The pavilion, by the way, can be built on the preserved foundation of an abandoned building.

The dominant feature of this part is a three-level restaurant with panoramic views. Its first floor is a democratic cafe, the second floor with a mezzanine is a restaurant with open terraces and independent logistics. The building is crowned with a glass "crown", inside which there will be a greenhouse and a lounge area. In the evening, the "crown" is illuminated with ultraviolet light, thanks to which it is clearly visible from the side of the Moscow Ring Road, turning into a landmark and "barker".

A pedestrian route and a bicycle path will be laid across the entire territory, which will stand out in a contrasting orange color against the background of calm landscaping.

The new part of the fair thus offers scenarios for recreation both for residents of Mytishchi and for Muscovites who come to buy purchases, who should be intrigued by wooden "aqueducts", encouraged to leave packages in the car, walk first to Yauza, and then, possibly, further to Taininskoe.
