The storm water roof from ZinCo includes a water storage tank capable of storing between 80 and 160 l / m², depending on the type of green roof. With the help of additional elements, an even larger volume can be assembled - provided that the roof structure can withstand this amount of water. The roof design can be anything - it can be intensively or extensively landscaped, it can have walkways or a carriageway for cars.
Another important component of the system is the flow limiter. The two rings on the underside of the flow limiter slide towards each other and can be used to adjust the volumetric flow rate of the flowing water. Typically, the flow rate is adjusted to completely dry the roof within 24 hours, but other options are possible.
If more precipitation has fallen than the roof can hold, then the flow limiter will act as an emergency drain.
The drain restrictor RD 28 with a diameter of 28 cm is used when the connecting sleeve on the flat roof is welded to the waterproofing layer. If a mounting flange is used, then the RD 48 drain restrictor with a diameter of 48 cm is the optimal solution.
To ensure the continuous and correct functioning of all these elements, the roof drain and the drain stop are protected by an inspection chamber, which has narrow slots to prevent foreign objects from entering the roof.
