The New Horizons company has been improving public spaces and activity parks for over 20 years. Its mission is, in the context of universal digitalization, to involve people of different ages in joint outdoor activities. The company's portfolio includes sites for the Hermitage Garden, Gorky Park, Krasnaya Presnya Park, Izmailovsky Park and other iconic objects. New Horizons offers equipment for the Russian market that is highly safe and provides children and adults with endless scenarios for games and movement. Thanks to the shapes, materials and overall aesthetics, the play elements fit seamlessly into the modern urban landscape.
New Horizons implements play spaces with its own creative department, but also effectively works with projects of third-party architects and designers.
Arch for "Sirius"
The educational center for gifted children "Sirius" began its work in 2014 on the basis of the "Azimut" hotel, around which an innovative environment has been formed since then. Recently, the School building, designed by Studio-44, was opened, on the approach of the Sports and Art buildings, as well as a kindergarten and a regular school. Now children from all over Russia come to Sirius for three-week shifts, during which they undergo intensive training under the guidance of leading teachers, athletes and artists. The significance of the project is evidenced by the fact that in the near future Sirius will receive the status of a federal territory.
Taking into account the specifics of the educational center, the ambitiousness of its tasks and the specifics of its location, the company "New Horizons" offered for the territory of the kindergarten "Sirius" the arch Sona - an interactive playground from the company Yalp, which is part of the international concern Lappset group.
To successfully compete with tablets and smartphones, Yalp interactive platforms take the best from computer games: they give excitement and self-confidence, develop coordination, train problem-solving skills, and creativity. At the same time, the game takes place in the fresh air, contributing to physical development and "live" communication.
The Sona arch looks like a modern architectural object. The arched structure of a durable metal frame, closed with reinforced impact-resistant plastic, has built-in speakers and spotlights, thanks to which you can play even in the evening. Considering that it gets dark quickly in southern latitudes, this function becomes especially relevant.

The arch is very easy to use. Each Sona has a basic set of games that can be activated by tapping on the sensor. Among the games - a reaction test, dance competitions, a memory trainer "Unscramble the code" and others. All games are aimed at developing physical or intellectual skills. Internet connection allows you to keep statistics, change settings and download new games. When there are no players on the court, Sona automatically goes into power saving mode and "wakes up" as soon as a person appears nearby.
Sona has the highest class of protection against moisture and dust penetration, can withstand temperatures below 30 ° C, it can be used both outdoors and indoors.
Parkour in the "Academic"
Parkour is a product of the big city and street culture. The term means high-speed movement and overcoming obstacles using jumping elements. This description, I must say, perfectly fits what happens in the playgrounds. The assortment of the New Horizons company includes a professional series designed for those who like to climb, hang and climb: it includes Cloxx, Clover, Halo and Bouldering play equipment.
One of the playgrounds in the Akademichesky Park, located not far from the Darwin Museum, is fully equipped with elements for little parkour enthusiasts. There is a bouldering cube - a structure resembling a climbing wall, which can be used from the age of five. Different faces of cubes - different levels of difficulty. The herringbone mesh will teach you not to be afraid of heights and to feel balance - the structure is installed on a platform that can be rotated. The Pyramid element was developed with the participation of parkour professionals to practice jumping, however, even the smallest children can use it at their own discretion.
The site is often called "natural science" because the design of the elements resembles bulk chemical elements. Metal structures are characterized by increased strength that can withstand the active use of energetic users. The safety of the elements has been thought out by the designers and confirmed by certificates.
Modular "architecture"
One of the most memorable elements of the new park "Brateevskaya Poima" is a cobalt-colored construction of five metal "containers". The modules stacked on top of each other form two levels, inside which there are grids, stairs, manholes and windows. Thanks to the enclosed space, kids can play in any weather, and the built-in lighting extends the play in the evening.
