This day center for cancer patients will be located on the grounds of Garthnavel Hospital, near the large Beatson Cancer Medical Complex.
The project budget is 2.1 million pounds, which is planned to be collected during charity events this summer.

The centers are named after Charles Jenks' late wife Maggie Kezwick Jenks, their mastermind who died of cancer.
Despite the lack of ongoing funding, five such institutions have already been built, and more are planned outside Scotland.
In March next year, the Maggie Center of London Charing Cross Hospital, designed by Richard Rogers, will open, then more will appear: in Cheltenham (MacCormac Jamieson Prichard), in Swansea, Welsh (architect Kisho Kurokawa), in Nottingham (Pierce Gogh), Oxford (workshop Wilkinson Eyre), Newcastle (FOA).
Thus, the Centers not only complemented the national healthcare system in Great Britain, but are also one of the most daring customers in the British architectural field: for example, it was the buildings built under this program that became the first projects Gehry and Hadid implemented in this country.
