This building overlooks Broadway, and the main color of its facades - terracotta - is in harmony with the historical buildings around. At the same time, the project itself is far from historicism: all of its facades are glass curtain walls, and there are no traditional details either inside or outside.
The main element of the street façade is the diagonal of transparent glass that crosses it, contrasting with colored fritted opaque panels, as well as with areas of colorless frosted glass. Behind it are the main public spaces of the "Diana Center" - a cafe, a dining room, a reading room and an exhibition gallery, located one above the other with a slight mixture along the horizontal axis and together forming a kind of atrium. On the "courtyard" facade facing the campus space, this diagonal is emphasized by the volumes protruding from the wall surface (also completely transparent), in which the staircase is enclosed.
Part of the building plot was used to create a small area with grassy terraces. They lead the visitor to the main entrance of the building, which leads to the cafe; it can also be accessed from the Broadway side: that lobby also serves a theater hall below ground level and a wood-paneled oval social space.
The building serves as a "student center"; it also houses auditoriums and workshops for the faculties of architecture, art history, theater, and art.
