The Bolshoi Theater in Rabat is located on the banks of the Bou-Regreg river and echoes the bend of its channel with its elongated volume. This 27,000 m2 facility will include two auditoriums (for 2,050 and 520 seats, respectively), various studios, and an open-air amphitheater for 7,000 spectators.
The theater will become one of the key objects of the new district in the Bou-Regreg valley: on an area of 6,000 hectares in the center of Rabat, by 2014, housing, offices, hotels, and entertainment facilities will appear.
The two Nassim villas in Singapore are a much smaller project, but, like the theater in Morocco, it follows the lines of the local landscape. The houses are located among the hills, opposite the botanical garden. Their elongated console terraces simulate the top of a hill at the same time, block facades from the sun and serve as additional living space, from where views of the surroundings of the villas open.
