From the entrance to the CHA begins a wide and laconic "prospect" dedicated to the design of Skolkovo. On the right are the master plans of Western architects (who won the AREP at the very end of the run), on the left is a giant poster by Boris Bernasconi calling on Russian architects to participate in the competition for the design of individual objects within the Skolkovo master plan. The decision that such a competition should be held was made recently.
This will be the subject of Grigory Revzin's lecture on Saturday at 16:00.
To the right is an exhibition of projects of the "Avangard" prize in 2011: reading rooms. They develop the theme of education in two ways: firstly, because they were made by students, and secondly, because the reading room.
Half a floor higher (up the stairs to the right) there is an exhibition of educational projects of the "Summer School" by students of Alexander Yeromolaev. Everything is as it should be: proto-objects, photographs of old huts and models of new ones. The central blockhouse, cut by a multitude of slit-like sagging windows, is very charming and fits well into the image of a large (some kind of Old Believer's) hut.
On the second floor, we are greeted by the exhibition of the architect of the year Vladimir Plotkin, this is one of the brightest and freshest impressions of the Arch of Moscow, we will tell you more about it.
On the right, in a separate room - an exposition of a star lecturer from AD
Ben van Berkel from UNstudio. The lecture will take place on Saturday at 11:00.
The entire center of the second floor is now given over to commercial stands, glamor reigns here; at the entrance, the traditional stand of Korian from the recognized heroes of the Arch of Moscow Vlad Savinkin and Vladimir Kuzmin.
On the right are several non-commercial exhibits: an exhibition
Best building award (previously it was called the House of the Year). Now the prize is awarded to buildings built throughout the country, it has as many as two juries, in addition to the popular vote, a public council and an expert council, and recently a shortlist of the prize was determined, according to which a popular vote will be announced soon. On Arch Moscow, there are: a short and final list on large posters, and a long list in light boxes illuminated from the inside. And although the objects on the lists, for obvious reasons, are repeated every now and then, all together make up an impressive report on the objects built in the country for the year.
Opposite is the nostalgic exhibition “
The morphology of a Soviet apartment”, curated by Artem Dezhurko. It is interesting to look at the well-preserved interiors of forty years ago in the photographs, it is even more fascinating to read the signatures. It follows from them that these apartments were at one time, oh, how difficult - probably that is why they were well preserved. In others, for the most part, the situation was poorer and there was little to save.
Nearby, in the corner hall behind Ben van Berkel, charmingly smelling haystacks and landscape projection introduce viewers to a new incarnation
festival "Cities": after wandering around the country up to Altai, "Cities", it seems, have finally found their corner somewhere in the south of the Moscow region. Since the beginning of this year, an "Archfarm" has been formed there. Architectural objects will be built on it, small, and then, possibly, large. There is already a cubic box of the winter "Archpriyat".
The architecture is now on the third floor, where "light" was exhibited for several years in a row. Here everything is as before on the second, only the stands of the architects are somehow small.
The renovation project of the city of Ples, shown by MeralStudio, attracts attention mainly due to the similarity to Krapivnaya of the students of Evgeniya Assa, who became the hero of Arch of Moscow two years ago. Only: Krapivna was an unknown city, and Plyos was a city of artists, a very popular plein air place.
One of the most prominent architectural stands was made by TOTEMENT. It is a sequel
exhibition, held in the Flat Expo gallery, and shows a model of the Cognac Museum in the Kaliningrad region framed by beautiful snags.
Another notable stand is the Office-Parasite, suspended between two Moscow houses, from the ZaBor bureau. A completely utopian and so charming project.
Magnificent exhibition"
A city called Spain”opened earlier than Arch Moscow (we have already written about it) and organically merged into it. The city of glass pedestals and models, between which you can wander chaotically, is not very pleasant in a local way.
And finally, exhibitions "in the wild" are becoming traditional. Previously, they were forced out because there was no room inside; now the place is full inside, but they don't go outside, they probably feel better there. The Tatlin magazine, which is very active in today's Arch Moscow, hung T-shirts in the courtyard with the words:
Tatlin Publishing House also presented a new book by Vladimir Paperny yesterday"
Fuck context. Many of the audience were probably intrigued by what we have now with the context; but the author intelligently spoke about the origin of this rude, but popular expression (in this way Ram Koolhaas characterized and condemned the attitude of the skyscraper in the architectural environment) Then he confessed his love for the context and quoted Alexander Skokan, one of the most influential Russian theorists and practitioners of contextual modernist architecture: when a person enters a room where a conversation is taking place, one should quietly sit in a corner and carefully enter into a conversation, not interrupt or Opinions of other architects (the book consists of interviews that Paperny took with many architects on the topic of context) were divided: the opposite party believes that if the chatter in a room is boring and uninteresting, it should be interrupted and another topic suggested. (to the left of the entrance), where the presentation of the book took place, there was an exhibition of the School of Malevich Marina Khr tired and Vladimir Paperny: the authors find avant-garde sources in the architecture of modern stars (somewhere ears, somewhere roots). This classic art study is shown in the form of videos on walls and monitors:
The main characters of the street, or rather the colonnade of the Central House of Artists: this is an exhibition of the award for wooden architecture
ArchiWOOD (the winners of the award will be announced tonight), which has taken root since last year on the left side of the colonnade,
… a new competition"
