Tomorrow, on Saturday, the architecture festival "Cities", which this time is dedicated to the arrangement of an "architectural farm" near Tarusa, will end with a presentation of the objects created during the previous two weeks. In addition to the solemn ceremony, specialized workshops, paragliding, teahouses, communication with fellow architects and much more will be organized.
Participants of the Forum-workshop on the development of the territories of the city of Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg) will have to give up a little of summer frivolity and festival mood. From August 9 to August 19, it is planned to develop several possible projects for improving Chernyakhovsk at the Insterburg castle, having previously studied the structure of the city. Interested citizens are invited to participate in some of the forum's events.
On Thursday, at Strelka in Moscow, the Branching Point: Interaction seminar kicks off. The workshop participants will focus on parametric and interactive approaches to architecture. Four working groups will deal with the topics "General strategy for the development of the territory, interaction with the city and internal resources", "Object in the urban landscape", "Shell and its fabrication with reconciliation of CNC", "Interactivity between the environment, shell and man". At the end, the groups of researchers will unite and present a common project.
Those wishing to take part in the II St. Petersburg Youth Architectural Festival "ARTERIA" will have a number of open discussions, a competition of concepts for the development of a recreational area adjacent to the site of the public and business complex "Lakhta Center", and lectures. The forum is based on the idea that a modern architect is in a global space, and it is this fact that should determine his activities.
