Urban Studio is an interdisciplinary urban summer school, it will be held near Odessa in Chabanka. The general theme of the classes: "Memory, City and Three Times - Natural, Social, Virtual". The subject of the research assumes a comprehensive approach to the problem, therefore, the teaching staff includes architects, bureau owners, editors of popular publications, historians, artists, biologists, and philosophers. The participants are working on the development of the territory of Red October and are trying to include a place that is already successfully developing in the urban environment, identifying all its potential opportunities. On the same Saturday at the Museum of Architecture you can listen to a lecture by Kirill Ass “Chertanovo. Autumn. Desert". The lecture will be accompanied by the film “Autumn. Chertanovo … ".
You can escape from the city and modernity to a nature reserve. This year, the Kenozero Readings 2011 are dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the national park of the same name in the Arkhangelsk region. The conference will take place on the territory of the park, "an island of the primordially Russian way of life", protected by UNESCO. The topic of the meeting: “Man and Environment: Harmony and Contradictions”.
