On October 1, St. Petersburg hosted the award ceremony for the eleventh review competition "Architecton-2012", which is annually organized by the Union of Architects of this city. An exhibition of all competitive works has opened in the St. Petersburg House of Architects. This year, more than 50 applications were submitted to the competition, including 25 completed projects, 15 projects and 12 theses. The evaluation was carried out in three nominations: "Best Building", "Best Project" and "Best Thesis".
The Grand Prix in the Best Building nomination was awarded to the B2 Architectural Workshop led by Felix Buyanov for the project of the Tokyo residential complex, built in the Primorsky District on Mebelnaya Street, not far from the Gulf of Finland. The complex consists of three 25-storey towers on a common stylobate that serves as a parking lot and office and commercial space. The image forms the graphic nature of the combined facades, which, coupled with the scale of the structure, is in fact remotely reminiscent of the buildings in Tokyo.
The Mamoshin Architectural Workshop received a gold diploma for the implementation of the Tavrichesky residential building. The house is located in the historical center of St. Petersburg, at the intersection of Chernyshevsky Avenue and Shpalernaya Street. It is an 8-storey building whose architecture evokes the Northern Art Nouveau style. There are protruding bay windows, trapezoidal portals of windows, mosaics, forged fences, and decorative lanterns. At the same time, many details do not conflict with the environment. By the way, not so long ago this house was included in the "White Book" of St. Petersburg.
Silver diploma - from the "Architectural Bureau" Zemtsov, Kondiain and Partners "for the implementation of the residential complex" Diadema "on Krestovsky Island. The monumental towers with panoramic glazing, united by an atrium with a winter garden, were also awarded a special prize from the Partners' Club.
The Bronze Diploma was awarded to the "Architectural Workshop" Golovin & Schreter "with the construction of" Private Residence ". The name speaks for itself - this is a classic country residence surrounded by green lawns, flower beds and grand staircases.
Mikhail Mamoshin's studio received another golden diploma from Architecton in the Best Project nomination. The jury noted the Trinakria business center and a residential building on the pedestrian embankment of the Northern Dvina - both projects were developed for Arkhangelsk and both have trapezoidal facades and cut glazed corners.
"Stolyarchuk's Architectural Workshop" with the concept of a business center on Bolshoy Sampsonievsky Prospect received a silver diploma. The main facade of the building, one of the few that does not try to imitate the classic style, is composed of four glass volumes in thin frames of dark brown cladding.
The bronze diploma of the competition for a coldish-austere project of a residential complex on Savushkina Street, each line of which looks restrained and reasonable, was awarded to the "VO Ukhov Architectural and Design Workshop".
The best thesis was the project of a residential complex on Vasilievsky Island, completed by a graduate of the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after V. I. I. E. Repina by Alexandra Scheiner. Also, a special prize was awarded to Anna Rudenko for the project of the MFC "U Smolny".
