The name of the bridge is translated from Latin as "hurry slowly". His project, which was developed by designers Adnan Alagić, Bojan Kanlić and Amila Hrustić, won a competition in 2007. Then its authors were still students of the Academy of Fine Arts, next to which the new building is located.
The appearance of the river banks where the bridge was built in 2012 is very different: one of them is covered with grass, the other is completely “dressed” in stone; on one side of the river there is a large building of the Academy of Fine Arts in the spirit of eclecticism, on the other - ordinary residential buildings.
The 38 m long black steel structure of the bridge is paved with light aluminum plates, along the pedestrian path there are glass curbs with black railings, which are illuminated by LED lamps in the evenings.
Illumination emphasizes the silhouette of the bridge at dusk: in the middle it bends in a loop, which at the same time serves as a kind of gate and a gazebo. In the "loop" there are two wooden roller benches for pedestrians to relax and socialize.
The authors of the project emphasize that their construction is a kind of "union of the secular and the religious", since the building of the Academy of Fine Arts used to serve as an evangelical church. Now the architectural monument of the Secession era (1898–1899) has been turned into a temple of arts.
The "loop" in the work of the young authors of the bridge is a frequent motive: they created, together with Dutch architects, a project of a winding motorcycle track, and also designed a bridge with two levels - an arched one for pedestrians and a zigzag one for cyclists.
The project budget was 1 million euros, another 250 thousand were spent on the reconstruction of the embankment from the side of the Academy.
