She left after a serious illness, with which she really fought all the last years and until the very last days. Knowing for decades this always full of life, in every sense, a beautiful and amazing woman who gave birth and raised four beautiful children and at the same time succeeded as a talented easel painter, master of theatrical costume, it is impossible to combine this with such a difficult, premature departure. The statuesque figure, grace and beauty of Lena, instantly put her in the center of the crowd. And in combination with intelligence, friendliness and spiritual depth, Lena herself became the center of a large circle of friends. And dozens and dozens of people will come to see her off, to whom she gave her love, the joy of communication, help, creative cooperation and human warmth. Born into a family of architects, Lena genetically inherited a bright gift of a draftsman, a sense of color and harmony. Her inherent firmness of character, faith, correct understanding of life manifested itself in the beauty, strength and grace of the line, which immediately distinguished her while still studying at the architectural institute. And although the main work of her life has become a large, friendly and loving family, today it can be said with all certainty that portrait painting and theatrical works of Elena Markovskaya of the last decade will take their place in the history of Russian art and theatrical costume. This brightest, final chord in her creative biography, born from the fusion of music, ballet dance and scenography, has become a celebration of great talent and strength for everyone.

Lena left behind a brilliant mark, and each of us bears his unfading reflection. Everlasting memory.
