The displacement motor yacht MySky has a length of 51 m, a displacement of about 600GT and a large power reserve, with an autonomous transition range of up to 5400 nautical miles at 10 knots of speed. She was built at the famous Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts back in 2014, and at the beginning of 2015, tests were completed, and the vessel was transferred to the owner.

Egeraat's striking individual style, his penchant for external effects and his ability to make a strong and accurate impression with his architecture perfectly correspond to the traditions of a rather specific and very conservative genre - yacht design. So the "newbie" had something to offer the customer. Continuing the exterior solutions of the ship's hull, Erik van Egeraat built the interior on a combination of almost black and completely snow-white surfaces.

The four-deck yacht MySky can accommodate up to 12 people at a time. The total area of the premises is about 650 m2… Its layout is quite traditional: the entire width of the bow of the main deck is occupied by a spacious owner's cabin with a separate dressing room, bathroom and shower. And at the stern there is the main salon, a dining room and a bar with a huge multimedia screen on the entire wall (its area is about 6 m2). On the lower deck there are four guest cabins, each designed for two people. The upper deck is occupied by a spacious seating area equipped with a rotating deck. From here, a wonderful panoramic view opens up to 270 degrees at once. There was also space for outdoor recreation areas, a marble bathroom with a steam bath, a well-equipped gym, which was a special request of the customer, and a helipad, which, however, can be turned into another relaxation area.

The selection of materials is intended to emphasize the nobility and sophistication of the interior. The exquisite design of the so-called Macassar ebony - a precious wood often used in yacht decoration - creates the perfect dark background. For the furniture, in contrast, snow-white leather was chosen. The exceptional abundance of glare, glossy surfaces, both dark and light, adds a playful element to the room and allows it to visually hide the size of the room. The architect paid special attention to the entrance area, using his signature technique in it. A thin "frame" made of natural black marble carefully wraps around the light onyx inserts, folding into a contrasting and dynamic ornament. Internal lighting allows you to reveal the texture of the material and emphasize the drawing of this huge, full-wall stained-glass window-cobweb.

The interiors of executive yachts are usually very conservative and leave little room for the architect to express his creative energy. Nevertheless, Erik van Egeraat managed to create a completely recognizable author's interior. Mandatory exclusive materials and rich, precious textures, combined with bold, streamlined shapes and contrasting colors, create a new style option that could be roughly described as luxury futurism.

Eric van Egeraat about the project:

“We are proud of the result. Especially because receiving the award proves that we continue to explore new territories and blaze new trails in innovation, craftsmanship and the creation of quality and value. Each of my projects reflects my personal vision and the MySky yacht project has taken me to a whole new level. The more you strive for a non-standard result, the more inspiration you feel. The design of this yacht is not ultra-avant-garde, but it is far from being average. You can be original, using not a shout, but a whisper, nuances, and not loud statements - and at the same time not forgetting about a specific customer for whom you are creating a project."
