The industrial buildings of the Old Mill (Stari Mlyn) built in 1902 near the banks of the Sava River became part of the Old Mill Hotel under the management of the Radisson Blu operator. They included a lobby, bar and restaurant, a conference center with four rooms, a banquet hall and a business lounge. A new building has been built for 236 regular rooms and 14 suites, a fitness and spa center, office space. The total area of the complex was about 25,000 m2.
The hotel is preceded by a "plaza" slightly raised above the street level, in the design of which cast-iron columns and granite slabs of dismantled parts of the historical industrial complex are used. Inside, the original brick walls are complemented by copper, oak and concrete surfaces, while the porter's backdrop is made from old looms. Contrasted with them is the white structure that unites the different functional areas of the hotel. Its fluid forms are characteristic of the work of GRAFT, but the inhabitants of Belgrade see in them a reference to the nearby monument of modernism - the huge building of the printing plant BIGZ (1936-1940), which has now become an important cultural center of the Serbian capital.
With the transition from public to residential areas, the character of the interior changes to a softer one, where textiles and wood predominate. In the solution of the interiors of the rooms, huge windows and wall paintings are of particular importance.
