On May 28, at the Rockwool enterprise in Troitsk, Chelyabinsk region, a solemn ceremony of launching the production of double density stone wool slabs took place. These products have no analogues in the thermal insulation market. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of the Chelyabinsk Region A. E. Bobrakov, acting head of the city of Troitsk A. G. Vinogradov, General Director of Rockwool Russia Group Marina Potoker.
Marina Potoker noted: “The priorities of the Rockwool company are constant movement forward and the development of know-how, unique products for our consumers. In April of this year, we have already begun to produce a new generation of thermal insulation - Light Butts Scandic insulation - at a plant in Vyborg, Leningrad Region. Today we are launching the production of another unique Rockwool product - double density boards at the Troitsk plant. The total investments made in the development of this enterprise alone amount to about 1 billion rubles, and the total investments of Rockwool in the Russian economy over 15 years of presence in this market are more than 14.7 billion rubles."
The Rockwool company acquired an enterprise in Troitsk in 2010, an extensive modernization was immediately carried out, and in less than a year the production capacity of the plant was increased by more than 50%, the production of stone wool cylinders, which are in demand in industry and housing and communal services, began. Thermal insulation of the facade increased the energy efficiency of the plant building, in addition, an environmental project for the construction of a storm sewer was successfully implemented.
In his address, the Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Borakov noted: “We are very pleased that a company with a worldwide reputation and with such a long history has chosen the Chelyabinsk Region and the city of Troitsk as the object of its investments. I am convinced that your further investment program will develop. We will make every effort to this and hope for successful cooperation."
Double density boards are Rockwool know-how, the company holds an international patent for their production. Due to their combined structure - the boards consist of a rigid upper (outer) and lighter lower (inner) layers - dual density materials have a number of significant advantages. Designers prefer them because such slabs create less load on the base and, as a rule, surpass the traditional two-layer solution in terms of thermal performance. Installers appreciate such products for the reduction in labor and installation time, high strength characteristics, and the absence of the need to work with soft material of the bottom layer, which is easily damaged.
Thus, double-density slabs for a hinged facade system with a ventilated gap Venti Butts D allow not using additional fasteners for the slabs of the lower layer. A product for insulating facades with a thin plaster layer Facade Butts D facilitates the application of cement mixtures due to the rigid upper surface.
