In the summer of 2015, the grand opening of the first stage of Innopolis, a new city in Russia with an economy based on high-tech industries, took place. The event was attended by the Head of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and the Acting Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. To date, in the satellite city of Kazan, a technopark has already been built. Popov, a university, several student campuses and a sports complex, the construction of another technopark, a medical center and residential buildings continues. The main feature of the buildings is the increased requirements for energy efficiency, which had to be satisfied while maintaining the bright architectural appearance of the objects. ROCKWOOL materials helped to cope with the tasks: thermal insulation boards for facades and roofs and cladding panels made of rock wool ROCKPANEL.

Innopolis is the most modern city in everything, including the construction technologies and materials used. That is why a lot of attention was paid to the issue of energy efficiency in the construction of residential and public buildings. Resource saving, as well as comfortable conditions for learning and recreation at the university, dormitories and the sports complex were ensured by the use of ROCKWOOL non-combustible insulation materials. So, for the thermal insulation of the hinged ventilated facades, we chose a double density material VENTI BATTS D with a thickness of 200 mm. The advantage of these boards is their combined structure. Stiffer at the top and lighter at the bottom, the slabs are stacked in one layer, which significantly reduces installation time and the cost of fasteners.

Insulation thickness - 250 mm! And excellent fire resistance!
ROCKWOOL products were also selected for roof insulation. A layer of stone wool 250 mm thick prevents losses through the roof and maintains a comfortable temperature in buildings all year round: it will be warm inside in winter and cool in summer. In addition, the fibers of the material can withstand temperatures up to 1000C, becoming a reliable barrier against fire. Thus, the fire resistance of Innopolis buildings is ensured.

The ideas of energy saving and care for nature were continued in the appearance of new buildings. For example, the facades of student campuses are adorned with ROCKPANEL Woods, featuring a wood-like finish. The pattern on each panel is unique and inimitable, due to this, it is possible to achieve the maximum similarity to natural material. At the same time, stone wool has a number of advantages over natural wood. In particular, cladding panels are fireproof, they can be used as part of K0 class structures. ROCKPANEL panels are also lightweight and do not put additional stress on the foundation, and you can work with them without the use of any complex tools. Plates are resistant to precipitation and ultraviolet radiation, so the finish will retain its original appearance for a long time. All these advantages made it possible to quickly and easily create colorful and modern building facades.
