In 2015, the Saint-Gobain Group of Companies celebrates its 350th anniversary. The festive events have already begun and will take place in 64 countries of the world on four continents. One of the brightest events was the "Future Sensations" exposition - the installation of four mobile pavilions that will travel around the world during the anniversary year.

  • January - Shanghai (China)
  • April - Sao Paulo (Brazil)
  • June - Philadelphia (USA)
  • October - Paris (France)

The pavilions are intended to enable the general public to evaluate in practice the innovative solutions of Saint-Gobain in the field of building technologies, as well as to get acquainted with the concept of a Multi-Comfort Home. As conceived by the organizers, each pavilion is dedicated to one of the facets of our perception: look, listen, color, creation.

Each pavilion is a 7x7x7 m cube made from Saint-Gobain materials and symbolizes the company's commitment to innovation, both now and in the future. The design of the pavilions is unique: a particular difficulty lies in the fact that they are designed taking into account the need for dismantling, installation and transportation.

The ambitious idea of "traveling pavilions" is also a reference to the company's history: in 1937, for the World Exhibition in Paris, Saint-Gobain built an amazing pavilion of tempered glass: then for the first time in history, people had the opportunity to walk on a glass surface.

The stunning pavilions of 2015 will show how the Saint-Gobain product line has grown and how the company's innovative potential has contributed to the creation of an environmentally friendly space for human life, work and leisure.

Look: Vision of progress

The first pavilion is dedicated to the production of glass, because it was from it that the history of the company began, as well as the employees who managed to create Saint-Gobain as we see it today. The construction of the pavilion is a glass cube illuminated by LEDs at night.

Listen: New perception

The second pavilion symbolizes the company's experience and knowledge in creating acoustic comfort in rooms. The white upholstered cube conveys a sense of acoustic purity and softness.

Color: dream material

The third pavilion demonstrates Saint-Gobain's knowledge and experience in developing materials to create a play of colors and shapes. The design of the cube consists of two rotating rings: one made of colored glass panels and the other made of traditional and textured glass.

Create: the art of creation

The fourth pavilion is the vision of the future of the Saint-Gobain Group, knowledge and experience in the implementation of the most innovative and daring projects. During the day, the pavilion resembles a spiral staircase that tends upward. At night it is a futuristic installation illuminated by LEDs.
