The project of the first stage of the development of the site along Selskokhozyaistvennaya Street was presented to the architectural council. A promising concept for the development of the territory involves the construction of another similar complex nearby. Designed by architects

bureau "APEX" together with buromoscow by order of the well-known Moscow developer "PIK Group of Companies". The projects of this investor have already been considered at the arch council, including when studying the issue of modernizing industrial panel housing construction. This time it was not a panel house, but a monolithic house with a ventilated facade.

The complex is formed by two separate buildings that form an almost closed courtyard. In the courtyard, free of cars, high-quality landscaping is provided, the arrangement of children's, play and sports grounds, the installation of benches, houses and the planting of large trees. Under the entire area of the building, including the courtyard, there is an underground parking, but the entrances to the entrances from the courtyard are located at the zero level, without stairs. The first floors along the street are occupied by shop windows and cafes.

The volumetric-spatial solution is based on variable number of storeys with a significant rise towards the street. The exterior facades of the houses are covered with zigzags of triangular bay windows that alternate evenly with stripes of flat white floors. Each protruding triangle on the right side is colored (the authors proposed 45 different shades), and white on the left - if you observe the facades in motion, like a passer-by, they will smoothly change their color from monochrome white to completely multi-colored. But the main tone remains light. Courtyard facades are simpler: a uniform white canvas with rare stripes of color in the lintels of the windows. There are no balconies.

Anticipating the discussion, Sergei Kuznetsov noted that this project, although it does not belong to a typical development, is still a continuation and development of the DSK modernization program initiated by the city and Moskomarkhitektura. Moreover, this example should be considered as very positive, taking into account all the criteria and requirements of the previously adopted resolution. The chief architect of Moscow also promised that the architectural council will continue to follow the fate of panel housing construction in the capital, submitting significant projects for consideration.

Despite such a positive start, the authors did not avoid a number of questions. The complaints mainly concerned a compositional solution with a sharp increase in the number of storeys in one of the parts of the complex. According to Sergei Kuznetsov, although he himself once called this technique successful, now such a composition is repeated in too many of the customer's objects, turning into a typical one. “We saw similar solutions in the complexes on Yartsevskaya, Stolbovaya, - commented Sergei Kuznetsov. - However, the adopted resolution speaks of avoiding a large number of repetitions. It remains unclear to me why the customer is so persistently duplicating the same technique? The customer and the designer could not answer this question on the merits, but promised to take into account the remark in further work. Andrey Gnezdilov objected that the project itself is very tough and contains opportunities for variability and change. That, according to Gnezdilov, could lead to the replication of the project in different parts of the city.

The council's doubts were also caused by bay windows, on the upper plane of which snow and water can accumulate. The designers explained that the small ledge, not exceeding 80 cm, has a slope and the snow will not linger. The customer's representative added that a sample was even previously created and tested for several months. The experiment showed that the design pays off. The idea with bay windows was supported by Vladimir Plotkin, explaining that in his practice such a project had already been implemented and there were no complaints about operation and waterproofing.

Another issue was related to fire safety. Andrey Gnezdilov drew attention to the absence of technical balconies with an emergency exit. However, the customer said that such a decision had already been approved, and the examination had been passed. The remark, which the council recommended by all means to be taken into account, was expressed by Sergei Tchoban, who noticed that the unfinished ends of buildings looked towards the street, similar to a firewall wall. According to Tchoban, they should not be left like this. Sergei Kuznetsov agreed with his colleague and suggested "mirroring" the location of the buildings, which, in his opinion, would give a more balanced composition and competent planning.

Taking into account all the expressed wishes, they decided to support the project.

The plot allocated for construction is located on the former runway of the Khodynskoye Pole, within walking distance from the metro station. In addition to the new church, in the eastern part of the site with a total area of 0.5 hectares, a memorial complex is planned in memory of the dead test pilots. Currently, there is a small wooden church on the territory. A large sports complex is being built behind the planned temple.

The project of the temple was presented to the council by the namesake of the chief architect Sergey Kuznetsov from the Project + design bureau. Talking about the work done, the author said that this solution “responds to modern challenges”, and the ascetic image is “a tribute to the Byzantine tradition, where the interior is the main thing”. The dome system is copied from European samples; such a system has never been used before in the construction of Russian churches. The layout of the building is also, according to the architect, "somewhat unconventional." On the ground floor there are technical and service rooms, a refectory and a small room with a baptismal font for baptism, funeral and wedding ceremonies. The main hall for church services is on the second floor. Parishioners will be able to climb there by street stairs or by elevator. In addition, the building provides administrative offices and Sunday school classes.

Chairman of the Architectural Council Sergei Kuznetsov could not personally attend the discussion of the project of the temple, but asked his colleagues to voice and record their decisions. Left without a chairman, the members of the council were at first slightly confused. The situation was complicated by the emerging fact that the temple in question has already been almost completely built.

Nikolai Shumakov, who was the first to speak, said that, living near Khodynskoye Pole, he had been observing the construction for a long time and could say with confidence that the frame and brick facades of the building were now erected. In this regard, the question arises involuntarily: why is this project brought up for discussion? Evgenia Murinets explained that the architectural council has the right to adjust the project, which did not receive the AGR in time, despite the fact that the object is under construction. After this explanation, Nikolai Shumakov criticized the layout of the church with the arrangement of the main hall on the second floor: it will be difficult for the elderly to climb there, and two elevators for the church, designed for 800 parishioners, are clearly not enough. As for the architectural appearance of the temple, according to Shumakov, it looks more like a "clumsily drawn outbuilding", over which for some reason domes appeared.

Hans Stimmann spoke about the project in a similar way, who was first of all surprised by the very fact of the construction of a new church: according to the architect, this process was completed long ago in Germany. Secondly, the architectural and town-planning composition of the project seemed unclear to Stimmann: the temple should be the center of the ensemble, but here it looks like “a kiosk selling sausages next to a sports complex”.“The House of God should create modern competition for the sports complex,” explained Stimmann. “The stadium will be demolished in 30 years, and the church will remain and will tell descendants about the architecture of 2016. I am upset that the story will be like this. According to the architect, the combination of the typology of an Orthodox church with elements of postmodernism in this project is not entirely clear, and the plan with an entrance on the second floor is also ambiguous.

Andrei Gnezdilov noticed that the shown master plan differs from the one considered earlier at the Institute of the Master Plan. In front of the entrance to the temple, the square disappeared, but a fence appeared, separating the temple territory from the Khodynskoye field. In the presented visualizations, the church stands in a free and open space, but judging by the diagram shown, there is no such space at all - concluded Gnezdilov. Andrei Bokov spoke even more emotionally, expressing a feeling of regret that the Arch Council could not intervene in time in the process of designing the temple. Now it has already been built and, according to Bokov, the city has received another "urban planning mistake and countless architectural mistakes." However, according to Evgenia Murinets, the architectural council is not to blame for what happened. The responsibility lies with the developer, who, having not received the AGR, began, in fact, unauthorized construction. Now the architectural council has the right to give any recommendations for changing the submitted project, and the developer will be obliged to take them into account.

Here, however, representatives of the customer intervened, recalling that the temple was being built on donations from parishioners. Already in January, it is planned to install a central dome and it is obvious that they would very much not want to radically alter the project. Alexei Vorontsov replied to this remark that the building discredits, first of all, Orthodox church architecture, and therefore such a construction cannot be approved.

The final decision on the presented issue was not made due to the absence of Sergei Kuznetsov. All recommendations of the council were recorded in the minutes. Evgenia Murinets said that the decision will be made at Friday's regulations, taking into account all the opinions and recommendations expressed.
