The program of a creche for 70 toddlers, a youth hostel with 200 beds and an incubator for companies engaged in economic and social innovation, combines almost incompatible institutions, and the task of the architects was further complicated by the triangular shape of the site.
As a result, the building received the same triangular shape, and each of the three functional areas was located at one of the vertices of the triangle. In the corners there are premises of the greatest "privacy", and the most "public" spaces are turned to the central courtyard. The courtyard itself, as conceived by the architects, serves as a modern "cloister" where you can hide from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
The corners of the triangle are slightly raised above ground level, as if letting the space of the city into the building.
The ABC complex with a total area of almost 7,000 m2 cost the customer, SAEM Euralille, 12.15 million euros.
