Frameless glazing systems of the South Coast Moving Glass Architecture Studio are already familiar to many customers. Here is another example of their successful application: Roman Pakhomov shared his impressions after two years of operation when he installed an Fb-cr glazing system and SL sliding doors on the open veranda of his cottage in the Dubrovka village of the Moscow Region. The veranda, which was previously used only in the warm season, can now be comfortably resting throughout the year, it has not lost its function, and it is possible to make it completely open again. At the same time, the facade of the cottage received a spectacular addition.
The Fb-cr system consists of large vertical sheets of tempered glass with a thickness of 10 mm, framed along the upper and lower edges by an aluminum profile that can be painted in different RAL colors. The panels slide easily along the top and bottom rails, usually fixed to the ceiling and floor of the room, and the entire system has a simple folding and parking algorithm. At the same time, the panels do not have vertical imposts and when closed, the Fb-cr system allows you to achieve the effect of continuous panoramic glazing, which is advantageously perceived both from the outside and from the inside of the veranda. The system is not "warm", but the tightness required to reduce heat loss and protect the interior from atmospheric precipitation and wind is ensured by the tight fit of the system segments to each other due to transparent polycarbonate profiles on the vertical edges of the glass sheets. Convenience and ease of care of glass that does not have additional framing surfaces, where dirt can accumulate, is also important for the consumer.
The manufacturer guarantees reliable operation of the system for at least 10 years, and provides a lifetime warranty for the moving parts of the fittings.
Although the Fb-cr system is not "warm", but as Roman himself says, in combination with heating devices, even in cold weather it is comfortable to relax on the veranda. And if you arrange a fireplace area in such a room, then even frosts will not be terrible.
