The Kaliningrad region does not skimp on signals - and you will not understand where to go. For decades we broke the locks here, then, threatened to cast our kremlins in concrete, and now what, I mean, a decade in the yard?
Governor Alikhanov declares the need to work with investors precisely to preserve the Prussian heritage of the region: "There are 64 buildings and structures of the 13th-14th centuries in the Kaliningrad region … in the Vladimir region there are only four of them, in the Yaroslavl region there are five or six." But half of the half-timbered houses of Svetlogorsk are determined for demolition, there will be two from a dozen. Centuries, of course, only the nineteenth, early twentieth, but still? In Zheleznodorozhny, there were only a couple of them, with sawn-offs - one was dismantled, they promised to recreate while the other collapsed. There is also a steam pumping station, another symbol of the town - one was scrapped by its own authorities, for a brick, the other was still managed to be defended by the public. And with the last, in February, only credited federal monument is also far from clear.
The houses of Hans Sharun on Elevatornaya Street in Chernyakhovsk have been classified for almost 10 years: it cannot be said that the people and those in power did not know about them. There were publications, there were also seminars for both, they even called it the media event of the year; they measured these houses, certified them and even sketched how the work of the creator of the Berlin Philharmonic Society, the only one in Russia, would shine again. The regional guard announced their enrollment in the "memorable" register, already five months ahead of Moscow, where they received the status of a federal monument. And then she allowed them to ruin.
In October 2016, among the Sharunov houses, people appeared who were gazing at the roofs - LLC SK Standard, which won (in the absence of competitors) the competition for the overhaul of the roofs of six of the 18 houses of the Motley row. In the shingles, it was said, they understood everything. The designer was LLC "Lester", by an amazing accident on the same days, 19.10.2016, licensed to work with monuments; paid the regional Fund for capital repairs "from the saved funds." A good deed, the first renovation in a century, because already in 2014 the degree of deterioration of houses was indicated as 63–65% or more? On New Year's Eve we started.
Leaving the riddle of such a controversial agreement, which managed even without informing the residents, owners of the favored houses, not to mention the Moscow expert councils under the Ministry of Culture, which recommended assigning the status of a federal monument to the object; leaving aside the logic of repairing fused-together houses almost in a checkerboard pattern, under the snow and rain, and in general the sense of grabbing the roof when the wall falls down - let's listen to the residents themselves: shingles ". Both the designer, the performer and the authorities "categorically refused" to preserve and even more so to use the old one - they let in a new one, of a different color, size and profile, with the old one, except that the name "tile" makes it related. Foreign: nowadays they do not produce in the Kaliningrad region the "East Prussian wave" that distinguished it so much - so why not buy, after all, the one that was put into business was also taken from abroad? "In frost, followed by thaw, the roofs were dismantled, the apartments on the upper floors were flooded." Unable to smoothly remove the "bat" dormer windows from the wrong tile, they "began to cut it, it burst … it turned out to be something clumsy, with crevices." Other dormer windows, rectangular, “were changed to trapezoidal, so they looked like machine-gun pillboxes. Some of the tiles were planted on nails. " “… The four-ray stars of Sharun, which adorn the front doors and railings in the entrances of houses, were completely knocked out of the firewalls, where they could… firewalls and chimneys were painted in an industrial brown color. Less than three months later, the paint began to peel off from them. " Both these and those are subject to protection. As a roof structure that used to be double, with a plank backing from wind and snow: “The contractor made a plank backing only on three roofs, and for the remaining three roofs he allegedly did not have enough funds (sic!) And the tiles were hung directly on the sheathing, over the film. " The object of protection and the wall that went under the water when the builders in the gutters forgot the outlets into the drainpipe: the residents had to cut through them for theirs. They saved the old tile and stored it for the time being. And those roofing works - also for their contribution for overhaul. Here are just the film on the roof does not let them sleep, sagged without a backing, from the wind pops uninterrupted.
Residents - write to the authorities, the regional Fund - plans to continue work on the federal monument "Colorful row". Probably, the designer and the performer tested on it as well. Both the material and the approach. Maybe they will at least let their labor fees go to compensate for the damage?
