We wrote twice about the project of the Pallau RB administrative and business center, located outside the Moscow Ring Road near Romashkovsky forest, at the very beginning of the Rublevo-Uspenskoe highway, on its first kilometer. The first version was developed by the architectural company "Sergei Kiselev & Partners" during the life of Sergei Kiselev, a year before the financial crisis in 2007. The bold and laconic image of two office buildings, set perpendicular to each other, became a reaction to two themes: the busy traffic of the highway at the crossroads and the notorious wealth of the “golden” Rublyovka. Hence, the slope of the roof of the extended building that strengthens the perspective, “runs away” from the Moscow Ring Road towards the forest, but is stopped by a slightly taller and “rational” neighbor. From here - large surfaces of transparent glass, wrapped in a golden shell of openwork cut copper, reddish-shiny, like pure gold.
After the crisis, the project was frozen for some time, then it was possible to build it - by 2014. Something has changed, the architects, not without regret, had to abandon the facades of golden copper. But much - and this rarely happens - has been preserved: first of all, the silhouette outline of the volumes, reminiscent of two giant arrows with "dovetail" at the ends, forming a metaphor for an intersection with two pointers in different directions. The facades received a more economical, restrained beige cladding, in which architects still see a golden hue, however, we admit, not so obvious. But the building really forms a crossroads, reacts to it - it is clearly noticeable both when driving past along the Moscow Ring Road and when leaving Moscow along Rublevo-Uspenskoe highway.
To create large-scale stained-glass windows - giant glass walls Pallau RB - the TATPROF system of aluminum structures was used. The architects used the TP-50300 series designed for vertical and inclined, warm and cold translucent structures. The series allows the production of stained-glass windows with a turn of the crossbar in the horizontal plane to the inner and outer corners using only one stand. In Pallau RB on Rublevo-Uspenskoe highway, window blocks EK-89 are integrated into the facade of TP-50300.
Aluminum structures of the TATPROF company are in demand in the construction market and are often used in the construction of not only business centers in the capital, but also sports and social large facilities. In this case, the modern glazing system made it possible to realize the bold idea of the SK&P architects: the coldly gleaming glass surfaces of Pallau RB reflect the sky, emphasizing the modern and dynamic architecture of the complex, which has so subtly captured the spirit of the intersection, in tune with the high speed of the highway.
