The project is the first to be realized from the catalog of facades designed for Bulgari by MVRDV architects. It offers an infinite variety of options, which, however, remain recognizable, which is what the customers - the famous Italian jewelry brand - need.
At the heart of the idea, like the designs of many other boutiques around the world, is the baroque façade with marble details of the main Bulgari store on Via Condotti in Rome. In Kuala Lumpur, marble mimics glass fiber reinforced concrete, in which resin-filled "veins" are created, illuminated by amber LEDs. The resin is based on stainless steel panels. The glass in the display cases has also received an amber hue, softening as the height increases. The team from the Delft University of Technology and the Tensoforma company helped the architects in choosing the optimal materials and implementing the façade.
The façade is located in the wall of the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping complex, in the popular shopping area of Bukit Bintang.
