Two years ago, by decision of the authorities, the museum left its former home in the City Park and began to be based on the territory of the former industrial district of Budapest. It is planned to open it to visitors by 2022. 11 architectural firms were invited to develop competitive projects to adapt existing premises and create new ones. But other interested workshops can also apply for participation.

Jeju Basalt Columns - Tourism Infrastructure

So, the contestants are faced with the task of proposing ideas for creating a stadium at one of the landfills.

The theme for the next Lexus Design Award is “Design for a Better Future”. Young talents have a unique opportunity to develop the design of an object that will allow in any way to change the future, contribute to the development of society, and see how their creations will be embodied in reality.

Participants are encouraged to create objects in various areas of design that would reveal the stated theme. These objects must be unique, original, but at the same time rather simple to manufacture.

In parallel with the global competition, the local, Russian LDA Russia Top Choice will also be held. Participants can win a trip to Milan Design Week or special prizes from Lexus.
