Two residential towers with a height of 22 floors are being built in Lyubertsy on Kirov Street not far from the Zhulebino metro station that opened 5 years ago. The exit from the metro by the architect Leonid Borzenkov, admittedly, is quite beautiful, but the surrounding panel buildings of the Moscow suburb, once famous for checkered trousers, is rather depressing. However, the surrounding of the two houses under construction by the Bogachkin architects' studio is not so bad: on the contrary, across the street, there are rows of five-story buildings, immersed in almost park greenery; nearby is the green territory of the hospital.
And yet it is quite obvious that the task of the architects was to ennoble the area with albeit high-density, but author's architecture.
Two towers, slightly elongated in plan, are set in an L-shape on the spot of an automated two-level underground parking, which provides parking spaces for about 80% of the apartments in the complex. The lintel between the houses is a fitness center, in the first tier it is raised on two rows of rectangular supports that open a wide passage / driveway to the opposite side of the yard. This kind of lintels, demonstrating the possibilities of reinforced concrete, were popular in the Moscow architecture of post-war modernism, which evokes some nostalgic associations. However, in Europe, America and Singapore they never went out of fashion. Landscaping is planned on the roof of the two-tier fitness lintel - a park raised above the courtyard. Probable landscaping is also visible on the terraces in front of the 19-storey apartments in both towers.
Thanks to the lintel, the houses look a little like Siamese twins separated from each other - almost, but not quite. Their fraternal almost mirror-like similarity is emphasized by architectural means: not only by the general similarity, but also by the "mirrored" rounded corners - one opposite the other, and equally similar, although not completely mirrored, incisions of the glazing at the 4th floor level above the lintel. The cutouts are accented with shiny corner columns - exposed fragments of the frame corner supports that serve as a façade highlight, as do the open metal balconies, dark facing bricks and golden-yellow window slopes.
The architecture of the two towers definitely stands out from the typical, inexpensive and indistinct surroundings; let's hope that shown on realtor
on the LCD site, a different, more boring color of facing bricks, columns and frames will turn out to be a temporary idea of the customer. Or the second option. One way or another, the dark-golden version of the project presented by the architects looks more "ringing".
