German company 3A Composites, which invented aluminum composite material and manufactures it under its own brand ALUCOBOND® for almost fifty years, has updated the technical portal Extranet. Its mission is to simplify the design process and give architects, planners and fabricators a comprehensive understanding of the possibilities of original aluminum composite panels from Germany.
Section, which contains digital templates - shaders - of all current colors and textures ALUCOBOND®designed to help architects and designers create lifelike renderings. Shaders are available for download in most popular formats, you just need to choose the one suitable for the design system you are working with.
Also on the portal you can download ready-made BIM-models of typical facade structures ALUCOBOND® - here the choice of formats is even wider. Video tutorials walk you through how to embed shaders and BIM models in ArchiCAD and Autodesk Revit.
The section deserves a separate mention. EasyStatix - a set of tools for preliminary calculation of wind loads and attachment subsystems. Access to it is open to regular partners of 3A Composites upon a separate request.
The program allows you to calculate the maximum format of ALUCOBOND panels®, the fixing pitch and the reinforcement scheme, taking into account the given panel thickness and the corresponding wind load. Data is provided for different types of attachment. Here you can also calculate the specific values of the wind load for individual zones of the facade, taking into account the dimensions of the building.
Calculations can be made quickly and from any device - even a mobile phone.
A significant block of the portal is a selection of albums of typical structural units. Detailed drawings for different types of fasteners and applications are available for download in two formats - PDF and DWG. This section is complemented by a collection of videos and animations that demonstrate in detail not only the basic fastening methods, but also the recycling possibilities of ALUCOBOND panels.®: sawing, bending and rolling, contour cutting and perforating, riveting and screwing, edging and much more.
Also on the portal there is a section with permits - certificates and technical certificates, including in Russian.
The ability to download shaders, BIM objects, instructions and other materials appears after a simple registration on the portal. So far, two languages are available - English and German. ***
