The Robinson Tower is located on a V-shaped section between Robinson Road and Market Street. It connects an 8-storey podium with shops and restaurants and 20 floors of class A offices. Between them, on the podium roof, there is an open terraced garden that compensates for the plants lost during construction: the law on such compensation was passed in Singapore in 2014. Another garden is arranged in atrium podium.
The complex area defined the asymmetrical shape of the skyscraper, which changes its appearance depending on the angle of view. The office part is oriented towards the ocean panorama. Convenience of tenants is facilitated by the shifted core of the building, which made it possible to do without additional supports. Among the firms housed in the building is the Singapore branch of KPF, which opened in 2018 for these architects to work with Thomas Heatherwick's studio on the new terminal at Changi Airport.
The podium is also a multifaceted, unusual volume that differs from the buildings around: its "prototype" - the Old Market located a little further -
Lau Pa Sat. From this 19th century building, the podium received terracotta details and "angular" geometry.
To connect the skyscraper with the street, its lower part is raised above the ground, revealing the entrance to a green atrium, around which office lobbies, shops and restaurants are grouped. Retail establishments from the street can be viewed through large windows.
