The owner of the oxxeo office building is the developer Gmp, and its location is in the Las Tablas area in the north of Madrid, now an area of energetic new construction. Nearby, for example, is the headquarters of the largest Spanish bank BBVA under the Herzog & de Meuron project.
Oxxeo's vision is to turn this building into an example of efficiency. For example, Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos made the white lattice of the load-bearing façade both a recognizable "face" of the building and a sunscreen. At the same time, the interior is filled with natural light through the external glazing, and the plan is practically without supports (there is only a central block with a staircase and elevator node and communications) makes it possible to conveniently use the space.
The total area of the five-storey building is more than 14 thousand m2; in addition, a garage for 450 cars is arranged underground. On the roof, there are two peddle tennis courts, a jogging track, exercise and relaxation areas: the well-being of the employees was one of the goals of the architects.

Landscaping, solar panels (319 m2) and collectors, which also found a place on the roof, effective ventilation, full natural lighting of the interior, an economical water supply system, the use of local plants requiring minimal watering for landscape design allow oxxeo to save 45% of water and 40% energy compared to a conventional building of the same size, earning the highest LEED Platinum Energy Certification. The barrier-free environment created in the building is also certified.
