The Nubuke Foundation, a cultural and educational foundation, is located on the outskirts of the Ghanaian capital, East Legon. Until recently, all of its functions were concentrated in one building, the so-called bungalow. But now, according to the project of architects Berbel Müller and Jürgen Stroimayer working in Vienna and Accra, the foundation of the foundation has become more convenient and connected with the environment.
The existing building has now been expanded to include a “lounge” where artisans, musicians and artists can work together. The bungalow is now more closely connected with the garden, where a stage for concerts and performances has appeared. But the main thing is the new exhibition building.
It is a "rough" concrete structure that accentuates the greenery of the palm trees and a large Indian almond tree. Outside, the console stem immediately attracts attention, inside - fluctuations in the height of the floor and ceiling thanks to the mezzanine levels. The architects deliberately left the gray tone of concrete unchanged: colors will add bright works of art and outfits of visitors.
