Features of premium lighting

Lighting projects for car dealerships requires a complex creative approach. On the one hand, it is necessary to work within the framework of the brand book declared for all car dealerships in the network, and on the other hand, the designer needs to emphasize the individual style of the car dealership and come up with a unique lighting project that will harmoniously fit into the overall lighting concept of luxury cars.

Most car dealerships have a common design feature - large panoramic windows from floor to ceiling, so that visitors can appreciate the level and scale of the car dealership without even going inside. The intertwining of LED lights, the glossy shine of new cars, transparent glass and airy space create a visual effect that is mesmerizing from the first second.

The task of the lighting designer is to highlight all the advantages of the car dealership using various lighting techniques. Luminaires with a high luminous flux or pendant luminaires provide good illumination in rooms with high ceilings.

When developing a light project for the Mercedes-Benz Avangard dealership (BAUFON RUS LLC), two diverse tasks were set at once: to create multicolored bright and neutral white lighting. Surprisingly, such an interesting concept was realized using only one model of Arlight LED strip. RT 2-5000 24V RGBW-One Warm 2x and touch control panel SR-2819SP.

The space of the car dealership is filled with unusual overflows of color and light. Lighting designers transform simple cement walls into colorful canvases. Color, which is capable of influencing the emotional state of a person, bursts into every room of the car dealership and becomes the main "seller" in this complex scheme.

The whole range of emotions and fantasies that the owner of an expensive car can experience at the time of purchase can be triggered precisely by the influence of color at the moment when his hands are lowered onto the hard leather sheath of the steering wheel. The foot gently presses the gas pedal, and thoughts rush forward at incredible speed. The customer mentally admires the fiery orange sunset and meets the gentle pink dawn. Stops on a hill and gazes at the deep blue ocean. Color is not only able to evoke emotions, it helps to survive events that may happen in the future. In this way, lighting designers play with the consumer, stimulating an expensive purchase. For example, orange creates a feeling of warmth, invigorates, accelerates blood pulsation, causes dilated pupils, which is closely related to the desire for speed, movement and the desire to own a prestigious car.

Room decoration with light panels with matte diffusers allows for high-quality main lighting and original multicolor lighting, when the interior is transformed in an instant by simply pressing the control panel. A four-zone remote control with a touch ring allows you to choose a color and compose programs from a combination of 7 colors.

When emotions subside and it's time to conclude an important contract, calm neutral lighting replaces. In the reception areas, meeting rooms, cafes and the general showroom, linear lamps with a warm white glow color (2700 K) are used. The light reflects beautifully on the surfaces of perfectly polished cars, emphasizing their shape and luxurious exterior. A café in a car dealership is not only a place to eat, but also a place where a customer decides to buy a car. The interior and lighting should contribute to this, in an expensive car dealership it is important to convey status, exclusivity and high level.

It should be noted that when developing lighting scenarios, it is important to focus not only on customers, but also on car dealership managers who need a comfortable level of illumination for demonstrating cars. For example, in autumn and winter, when it gets dark early and dawn late, it is very important to create comfortable daylight inside the car dealership, since natural light improves mood, which is conducive to shopping. In the summer, the lighting scenario should take into account the level of natural light and adjust the glow intensity of the ceiling lamps.

It is very important to understand in what price segment the salon will be designed, as this directly affects the way of lighting. In a car dealership of the "standard" category, it is important to simultaneously illuminate a large number of cars, pay attention to signs so that visitors understand where to turn. For the premium category, individual vehicle lighting is of great importance as a way to convey its special status. The merits of a product can be demonstrated with the help of light and local light structures, which the Mercedes-Benz Avangard dealership has successfully accomplished.

In the BMW Autoport showroom, the lighting is built according to a different principle. Lighting designers used a technique when the light is simple and laconic enough, which even more draws attention to the luxurious expensive car and makes its exterior stand out. The project focuses on Arlight recessed downlights in various sizes, which are reflected on the glass and shiny metal of luxury cars with dozens of bright lights. Arlight luminaires with a high level of color rendering (CRI> 90) allow you to make the color of the object deeper and more saturated. Recessed luminaires provide high-quality lighting, even at a height of 5 meters. The motto of this project is maximum light in order to examine the model in the smallest details and choose your future car.

Despite the outward simplicity of downlights, the designers managed to diversify the lighting and create a clear geometric pattern on the ceiling. Some of the luminaires are dimmed to a minimum, so local light scenarios appear in the room. This is a versatile solution that allows you to create interesting backlighting and at the same time provide high-quality main lighting.

The luminaires are located in such a way that it is possible to turn on or off the light in certain areas of the room. When you need the brightest possible lighting, then all lamps are turned on. If it is necessary to focus on one car, then a local lighting scenario is implemented.
