The garden "I am Anna" with the use of the legendary hand-made Danish transom bricks Petersen Kolumba from the ARCHITAIL company received "gold" in the category "large exhibition garden".
The VII Moscow International Festival of Landscape Art, Horticulture and Nursery "Gardens and People" was held from 14 to 23 August 2020 in the VDNKh Landscape Park: as in previous years, it brought together professionals and amateurs of the art of gardens and parks.
Designers Ekaterina Kolegova (Ecole design bureau) and Natalya Kravchuk (Harmoniq Design studio) themselves invited ARCHITALE to participate in the festival and provide Danish handmade bricks from Petersen Tegl for paving their author's garden “I am Anna”.
They chose for the Petersen Kolumba garden an elegant elongated format 528x108x37 mm in three colors:
- dark brown, slightly metallic with a reddish tint K44;
- rich auburn K49, rich in color "nuances" with green;
- “metallic” black with contrasting white quartz sand and green tan markings K58.
Like all Kolumba dark colors, they combine the rich, rough Wasserstrich surface with the strength of clinker: they have very low water absorption, making them an ideal choice for the Russian climate.
The I Anna Garden immediately became a center of attraction for all visitors. It is dedicated to Joan of Arc and talks about how fragile and tender, but at the same time decisive and uncompromising a woman can be. The entire garden is built on the contrast of tenderness, which is symbolized by flowers and herbs, and the power that oxidized metal and clinker paving stones represent: the idea of the authors shows how a woman can combine such opposite properties in herself.

The garden is thought out to the details: the rich reddish tone of oxidized metal is combined with the colors of Petersen Kolumba, emphasizing the warm color base of this extraordinary brick.
This year, ARCHITALE also provided three teams participating in the "Gardens of Beginners" competition at the "Gardens and People" festival with Russian clinker paving stones of the transom format (220x52x52 mm) Skriabin Ceramics sorting No. 5 in a rich color palette - from bluish-violet to bright orange … This is a competition for students and graduates of universities, for whom this year they asked the topic "Difficult age".
All teams using Skriabin Ceramics paving stones received awards:
- MARCHI - "gold"
- Moscow State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K. A. Timiryazeva - "silver"
