The Apple store appeared at the foot of the famous hotel designed by Moshe Safdie, on the water near the very marina that went into its name. You can get inside both from the bridge and from the hotel, more precisely, from the shopping center in its podium, along the escalators leading from the ground (and partly from the sea).
The structure looks like a dome of 114 transparent glass panels on a black glass base 30 meters in diameter. The material used meets local requirements for resource efficiency, and this theme is developed by the main decoration of the project - the concentric "louvers" installed inside the dome.
They visually dissolve the boundaries of the interior, soften the lighting and serve as acoustic panels that muffle sounds. In the dark, they are clearly visible from the outside, giving the laconic shape of the dome an accent.
The trees around the perimeter also create a relaxed atmosphere; their leather-lined tubs double as seats.
