Taking place for several years under the patronage of the Museum of Modern Art - MoMA - the action offers the public a temporary venue for the Warm Up music festival and recreational purposes.
This year, the pavilion is called Sur and resembles a bizarrely distorted skeleton. Plexiglass and rubber were used as building materials, as well as spandex and latex reinforced on an aluminum frame.
In the winding "prominences" of the building, you can find places to rest and shelter from the rain and sun.
In the forms of Sur, you can see the influence of science fiction films: before becoming an architect, Alonso dreamed of a director's career, and still remains a devoted fan of Ridley Scott's masterpiece Alien. The pavilion was created using digital design tools from one “cell” by changing its shape.
