State Unitary Enterprise MNIIP "Mosproekt-4", headed by one of the most famous Moscow architects Andrei Bokov, circulated a letter, which refers to the actual removal of the team of architects from the construction of the Federal Military Memorial Cemetery of the Ministry of Defense. Architects A. V. Taranenko, A. I. Khomyakov, S. I. Satubalov under the leadership of A. V. Bokova won in 2002 a competition announced by the Ministry of Defense for the creation of a memorial complex near the village. Thieves in the Mytishchi region, near the border of Moscow. This cemetery should, according to the ministry's plan, become a kind of continuation of the Kremlin wall, a burial place for military heroes and high ranks of the army.
After the architects began to finalize the winning project, the artist Sergey Goryaev, the artistic director of the Combine of Monumental and Decorative Arts, was included in the composition of the authors. Which, as a result, intercepted all the management of the project, removing the authors, architects and sculptors (L. T. Gadaev and G. V. Frangulyan). According to the latter, Goryaev took advantage of their project, arbitrarily distorting it and, in this form, approving it with the customer, the Ministry of Defense. In response, the authors announced their intention to sue and hold a press conference to be held on Tuesday, February 6 at 11:00 at the press center at 6, 2 Brestskaya Street.
The project in its original version was a memorial park with an eternal flame. The natural ravine passing through its territory, through which the "bridge of memory" should be thrown, was interpreted as a symbolic border between the worlds of the living and the dead.

Recently, publications, reports and interviews with the artist Sergei Goryaev have begun to appear in a number of media outlets, in newspapers and on television. Their common theme is the creation of a complex of the Federal Military Memorial Cemetery (FVMK) near Moscow.
It is quite clear to us that certain structures of the Defense Ministry are very beneficial to the situation created by the illegal actions of S. V. Goryaeva and ZAO KMDI, which makes it possible to eliminate the professional, author's control over the construction, which makes it possible to make a project “for yourself”.
In 2002, the Ministry of Defense, the Directorate of Capital Construction and Investments (UKSI of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation) held a competition for the concept of forming the artistic appearance of the Federal War Memorial Cemetery complex. The competition was won by the project of the team of architects of the State Unitary Enterprise MNIIP "Mosproekt-4" consisting of: Bokov A. V. (head), Taranenko A. V., Khomyakov A. I., Satubalov S. I. It was this group of authors who received the right to design the complex.
At the request of the management of the CJSC "Combine of Monumental and Decorative Art" (KMDI), the artistic director of the CJSC KMDI, stained-glass artist Goryaev S. V. was added to the group of authors.
In the process of performing his part of the work, the artist Goryaev S. V., misleading the responsible leaders of the Ministry of Defense, deceiving fellow authors, without coordinating with the authors-architects and with his customer - "Mosproekt-4", submitted a set of sketches for consideration to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation works of art, made using materials from the architectural project "Mosproekt-4" by unknown performers under his (Goryaev's) leadership. At the same time, sculptors L. T. Gadaev were excluded from participation. and Frangulyan G. V.
The sketches made under the leadership of S. V. Goryaev, issued by him for the Project, were submitted for approval to the Minister of Defense and approved by him.
Completely prepared by the true authors, the demonstration materials of the complex architectural and artistic Project due to the blockade organized by the interested persons of the Ministry of Defense were never considered by the leadership of the Ministry, despite our repeated appeals to its various services.
Today we can state:
- construction, which has already begun by the enterprises of Spetsstroy, is being carried out with significant deviations from the Project;
- in the workshops of sculpture factories, isoproducts are being manufactured, the artistic and conceptual level of which is below any criticism and rather corresponds to the tastes of the North Korean regime with elements of plagiarism;
- the duties of the project manager were assumed by the stained-glass artist S. V. Goryaev, who is also the creative director of the group of authors, it is not known who consists of. The latter, in addition to Goryaev, a member of the team of authors, artist Ivan Lubennikov, whose sketches were approved at all levels, including the Minister of Defense and authors-architects, was also suspended from work.
Based on the above, we DEMAND:
1. Completely restore our copyrights, including the right to participate in the creation of the FVMK.
2. Opportunities to present to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the public a genuine complex architectural and artistic Project of the Memorial.
3. To suspend the work carried out at the sculpture factories and to terminate the contract with ZAO KMDI.
4. Immediately submit to Mosproekt-4 all the working design documentation completed to date by Spetsstroy organizations or others for approval in accordance with the Laws of the Russian Federation “On Architectural Activity” and “On Copyright and Related Rights”.
The full text of the Statement of architects and artists - the authors of the Project for the creation of the Complex, as well as documents confirming the absolute legal, moral and artistic and aesthetic correctness of the authors, will be presented to journalists at a press conference.
We would like to inform you that the claim for the protection of our copyright against JSC KMDI, the artist S. V. Goryaev. and the institutions and organizations that contributed to it, is sent by us to court.
