An architect was commissioned to renovate the residential buildings that form the front of the block along Maddox Street, including the office-occupied corner buildings with adjoining buildings along New Bond Street and St. George Street.
Basically, we are talking about the mansions of the Georgian era, although there are later inclusions - both the end of the 19th century and the middle - the second half of the 20th century. Perry replaced two office buildings of the last century with new ones, while trying to reflect in modern forms the variety of forms and rhythms characteristic of the historical buildings of central London. One of these buildings has received an almost entirely glass façade with bay windows - although it looks more "substantial". The volume of the second one hangs over the first floor; the surface of the façade is composed of metal and glass panels separated by energetic profiles.
All structures have retained their purpose: the living spaces in the mansions have been slightly reconstructed in accordance with modern requirements. As for the corner office buildings, their volumes are connected to each other within the block. Fire escapes decorated with larch wood became an unexpected decoration of this complex.
