The new skyscraper has become not only the tallest in the PRC, but also received the honorary title of the building with the highest "working" floor (474 m) and with the highest floor level (487 m). The title of the tallest structure, however, did not go to the SWFC: for some time now it belongs to the super-tall Burj Dubai tower, which is still under construction in the UAE. It does not yet have a roof or "working" floors, hence the success of the Shanghai skyscraper.
However, this success is temporary: in addition to Burj Dubai, ten high-rise buildings are currently being built in different parts of the world, which should significantly exceed the dimensions of the KPF construction. Even in Shanghai itself, its position as a leader is unreliable: although the SWFC has exceeded the height of the neighboring Jin Mao tower of the SOM bureau (420 m), construction of the Shanghai Center by the Jensler architectural firm with a declared height of 580 m is to begin there by the end of this year.
The Shanghai World Financial Center has 101 floors, of which 94 to 100 are dedicated to a visitor center with a museum, an observation deck and a banquet hall.
The rest of the area was occupied by a hotel, a shopping center at the base of the building and 62 floors of offices.
