The Skolkovo Science and Technology Institute (Skoltech) is a private research institute in Moscow, Russia.
The building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron Architects, is home to five institutes of modern science and is an important part of the Skolkovo science and education space.
BEMO was responsible for the design and delivery of the entire roofing service package with an area of approximately 45,000 m². Special attention was paid to the thermal requirements due to the peculiarities of the Russian winter with possible high snow loads and extremely cold periods.
BEMO delivered the entire roof package, consisting of corrugated board, thermal insulation and a system of protection against cold bridges. Continuous seam panels were fabricated on site and formed a watertight surface, which was subsequently coated with 42-160 aluminum sinusoidal panels in RAL 9003 as a decorative finish. Gutters, walkways and fall arrest systems completed the delivery of the complete BEMO package.
The project is an excellent example of BEMO's ability to support its customers throughout the entire project development process - from design and supply chain management to on-site quality control assistance. In BEMO it is called - Three "Elephants" of success (Or three components of success).
