The Karnal Wing, named after the founder of the Institut Le Rozey, will include spaces for various arts. This building will complement the existing school ensemble, consisting of traditional buildings grouped around the main courtyard: the new building will enclose this space. Le Rosey is located near Rolle, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
The rounded, flattened volume of the building, reminiscent of a 1970s movie spaceship, will be lined with stainless steel panels: this mirrored surface will enhance Karnal's hull, highlighting its role as a landmark, and provide protection from overheating.
Inside the building there will be a concert hall with 800 seats, a black box theater, conference rooms, a training center combined with a library, classes for music lessons, etc., as well as - which is obvious for a school where representatives of royal families and dynasties of industrial magnates from all over the world - several "salons" with a restaurant, cafe and other similar spaces. The construction of the building should begin this year.
