A project worth about $ 13 million and an area of 720 sq. M. developed by Ken Shuttleworth's UK bureau of Make. The eco-mansion will be built adjacent to Neville's existing estate. The building is almost completely recessed into the hill and on the surface is "cut" only by the intricate outline of a flower-shaped roof. Around the "heart" - the kitchen - four "petals" are revealed, which house the bedrooms, bathrooms, garage, play area and pool. The role of the "stem" is played by the ramp - the entrance to the underground garage.
The residence is completely autonomous in terms of energy supply and practically reduces CO2 emissions to zero: for this, the house will be equipped with solar panels, a wind turbine and a geothermal pump, which will be able to provide heat and light even to the current Neville mansion standing next to it.
Last year, the footballer had already submitted a project to the city council of Bolton, however, despite an earlier issued design permit, the authorities rejected an application for construction work. The fact is that Neville plans to build his "eco-bunker" in a protected green area between the cities of Bolton and Bari, and in such cases, permission is issued only to projects of exceptional quality. In addition, some local residents were not happy with the project: they, in particular, were not satisfied with the 39-meter windmill, which could increase the noise level in the district.
On reconsideration at the beginning of March, the revised draft was finally approved by the local authorities, albeit with only a slight majority of votes. Now the fate of Neville's eco-house depends on the approvals in the regional administration of the Northwest region of Great Britain.
