The facility is located in the Pudong district - the business center of the city with famous skyscrapers, on the site of the Shanghai shipyard. The construction of the exhibition center is based on a ramp for launching ready-made ships. The steel trusses that are clearly visible from the outside and the mesh covering most of the facades also remind of the industrial past.
Inside, most of the building is occupied by exhibition spaces, while outside you can arrange concerts, film screenings, round tables, etc. - under the console of the main volume, on the steps of the open "amphitheater", in the area created around it.
The exhibition center faces the Huangpu River and is visible from afar, especially at night, when it turns into a huge lantern.
