The Paseo-Tabasco highway is now occupied by cars, but from this summer they will have to make room: a wide path for cyclists and pedestrians will be laid along its dividing strip. The area of landscaping will also significantly increase. In addition, the recreational zones of the city are now combined into a single system: the banks of the Lagoon of Illusions (a series of lagoons adjoin the Grihalva River flowing through Villahermosa), the Rovirso and Thomas Garrido parks. There they will arrange an alley along the water and a coastal wetland area where you can admire the local fauna: various species of birds and the population of crocodiles. This wetland will help cleanse the contaminated lagoon water and restore the local ecosystem.

An open-air amphitheater for 700 spectators was also erected, and next to it was built a pedestrian bridge connecting two parks on opposite sides of the lagoon. It is wrapped in perforated sheets of metal and resembles a giant alligator from ground level.
