The village is named after the poet Philip Larkin from Yorkshire, where Sheffield is located. His project combines high standards of eco-friendly housing with a vibrant, original "living environment". 35 houses, varying in layouts (2, 3 and 4 bedrooms), are located on terraces around a common park. Compositionally, they are quite simple and resemble interlocked two-story boxes.

The main artistic technique of the architects was patterned brickwork and the color of the facades. Recall that FAT, in addition to architectural practice, is also engaged in projects in the field of contemporary art. At Larkin Grove, every home has become a work of art, with a unique abstract composition of the façade of blue, brown and cream bricks, complemented by carved window frames.

Vivid variations in texture and color are also used in the pavement of paths, which, along with elements of landscaping, is a kind of transition zone from residential buildings to the park, and should attract pedestrians.

The £ 3.6 million village was built as part of the city's housing market renovation program and meets all safety and environmental requirements, in particular, it receives up to 10% of its energy from renewable sources. All residential buildings are equipped with solar panels, an efficient thermal insulation system and high quality double glazing.
