The new HP Designjet T1300 ePrinter caters primarily to large workgroups, while the HP Designjet T790 ePrinter caters to small, mobile technical design teams. By simplifying large format printing and sharing work materials, both devices help professionals focus on developing and bringing ideas to life.

With an internet-connected ePrinter, the user will be able to:

Connect a USB flash drive directly to the device for driverless printing

  • print and scan directly from the web without using a computer, preview files on a color touchscreen (unique to large format printers) - with direct access to the free HP ePrint & Share cloud service (1);
  • remotely send print jobs from computers and smartphones (2) to any HP Designjet printer with an Internet connection and HP ePrint & Share;
  • not be distracted from work and get the most out of your investment thanks to automatic software updates via a server connected to the Internet.

“Last year, HP introduced the first integrated multifunction printer with internet connectivity that made collaboration and wide format sharing easier,” said Santiago Morera, VP and General Manager, Designjet Wide Format Solutions, HP. "And today HP is making large-format printing much easier by allowing our users to instantly print their own content from the Internet, upload it to the Web, and access files where they need it to work."

HP also announced a free firmware update for the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP, which is scheduled to be available to all HP customers starting May 20. By making the HP ePrint & Share service available through the printer's touchscreen, the update will make the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP the industry's first large format Internet-connected printer that can print, scan and copy at the same time.

“Every time you buy a new system, you get new opportunities for creativity,” said Benedetta Tagliabue, owner of the HP Designjet T2300 printer and co-founder of the architecture firm EMBT in Barcelona, Spain. - The prospect of instantly transferring materials between offices and interacting directly seems to me just exciting. Distances are no longer a hindrance."

Benedetta says she can’t imagine working without HP ePrint & Share - especially now that the company is carrying out numerous projects in different locations.

The next generation of HP Designjet printing systems

The HP Designjet T1300 ePrinter is the first large-format ePrinter to serve workgroups. With two rolls, smart power-on, and speeds up to two A1 prints per minute, it's easier to withstand tight deadlines and peak print loads. Advanced security options are provided by an embedded web server with access control and disk wiping.

Combining the simplicity of plug-and-play with the collaboration capabilities of the HP ePrinter series, the HP Designjet T790 ePrinter for small workgroups offers not only high-quality drawings, but also collaboration with colleagues via a networked environment.

Available in two models, 61 and 111.8 cm wide, the range is easy to load on rolls from the top and easily prints the most complex files thanks to its 8 GB of internal memory.

Easier to print and transfer large format data

HP ePrint & Share is a printing and sharing tool that allows designers to easily browse, open, re-lay out, view, and prepare to print large-format layouts in the cloud using the built-in screen. To upload a file to the server, just one click of a button during the printing process - and remote project participants quickly and easily get access to designs.

HP Designjet owners can download HP ePrint & Share software free of charge, or use the color touchscreen for Internet-connected devices - HP Designjet T2300 eMFP, HP Designjet T1300 and T790 ePrinters.

HP ePrint & Share for AutoCAD lets you access HP ePrint & Share directly from Autodesk's industry leading AutoCAD design and documentation application, creating print-ready files with one click. In addition, the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP includes a license for AutoCAD Raster Design software, through which you can fully scan sketches, printed plans and drawings, if necessary, digitize them and translate them into vector format for further work.

“Autodesk and HP are dedicated to providing customers with solutions to help them do what they do best - design and build amazing projects,” said Amy Bunszel, vice president of AutoCAD at Autodesk. "HP ePrint & Share further simplifies printing from AutoCAD, saving users valuable time and increasing productivity."
